50Watt Ceramic Tray Wirewound Variable Rheostat /Potentiometer
Structure :
1.BCI series Variable Rheostat is wound with copper or chromium-alloy wire as a resistance element. Except for the slide contact surface,the entire component is coated with a high-temperature,non-flammable resin.After cooling and drying, insulation is applied through a high-temperature process.
Then a centered rotatingadjuster component is installed,which slides along the resistance element and varies the resistance to the desired value.

Features:
1.Variable resistors are often called varistors or potentiometers.Variable BCI may used as a rheostat with two connections,(the wiper and just one end of the track )or as a potentiometer with all three connections in use.
2.On one rheostat,can have the different resistance requirement(flat and round wire can be in same rheostat).
3. High power rating,resistance to humidity, resistance value in great adjustable range.
4.Motor controller also use BCI series as rheostat or potentiometer to control the speed of a by limiting the flow of current through them.
5.Any 3-terminal potentiometer can be wired as a rheostat by connecting to one end of the resistive track and to the wiper. It is best practice to connect the wiper together with the other end of the resistive track.Doing this prevents circuit interruption in case the wiper loses connection with the resistive track and also reduces noise during adjustment.
